Show your support on American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day® — a fun day of work on the Appalachian Trail in the Smokies, when many improvements are made to the Trail that would not happen without your participation! Get some exercise, enjoy a day of camaraderie (RAIN OR SHINE) and receive a commemorative T-shirt. We are planning for an end-of-day picnic at Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Pavilion and door prizes to be given away to participants.

Not all work for National Trails Day requires digging in the dirt. We are also looking for a few more volunteers to assist with the event check-in between 6:30 and 8:00am, and with the picnic setup between 4:00 and 5:00pm.
