The Social Committee is thrilled to announce that our guest speaker will be Jaimie Matzko, Director of Communications and Outreach for Discover Life in America (DLiA). DLiA is the nonprofit science partner of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, leading the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory—a project to document every species in the Park. Working with scientists, park staff, and volunteers, DLiA studies and shares the importance of biodiversity and how everyone, especially hikers, can help record life in the Smokies.
