Our annual July urban hike! We will meet at the Meads Quarry parking lot just past Ijams Nature Center. After walking the Greenway to Perimeter Trail, we'll enter shady woods and take Groundhog (skipping Chigger and Big Rut) to Dozer and Whaley and finally to Will Skelton Greenway, which will take us back to cars. Many summer flowers, possibly wildlife other than ticks. After the hike is officially over, you can swim, hike more, or have a beer. Caution: poison ivy and ticks. Bring water and snacks. Meet at 7:30am; Hike is 4-5 miles, easy with a few rocky stretches.
