We will begin our hike at the Cosby Campground and proceed up the Low Gap Trail (2.5 miles). Once we reach Low Gap, we will turn left and proceed along the Appalachian Trail for 2.1 miles until we reach the access trail to the Mt. Cammerer Fire Lookout (0.6). After spending time for lunch, exploring the historic Cammerer Lookout, we will return the way we came up. Round trip distance 10.4. Rated Difficult. Meet at the Cosby Campground Pavilion at 9:00 am. Please check the road access before you leave to ensure your planned route is open due to the recent storm damage in October.
